in the jw-land, are there any of the gb, elders, or whatever posts/people get paid for doing the "good work"?
do they receive any monetary income (in term of salary/allowance/whatever as long as it is $$$) which come from donation aka from the congregation?.
All bethelites get an 'allowance', as do travelling sales reps
as for the GB, on paper they may well get the same allowance as the floor sweeper but the difference is in the package...
the apartment, the travel, the food, golden handshakes...
i am sure those up to date would know the amounts of $$$

many of you refer to wts as a rich publishing corp. since the mags they pass out are free i don't understand how they make money from them?

perhaps i am overthinking this.......but i may have come to the conclusion that the gb's refusal to address and explain in detail all of the changes mentioned at the 2012 annual meeting is in and of itself.....their final explanation.
from what i have gathered by speaking discreetly with those that are still "in" but on the fringe.......the information given at the 2012 meeting meant practically nothing to most jws.
in fact.....most are still completely unaware of the changes.
whether they announce it or not,
all the animals will look at the barn wall, scratch their heads and say " i'm sure it said something different yesterday...musta not read it right I guess, coz there is it in writin' n all"...

Not ever having had that sort of JC, i find these, although facinating, to be tad embarressing for the elders and the accused. The accused will try to prove a point that they already know will make no difference, the elders try to look interested in the views but they are not in the slightest. They need to boil it down to the nitty griity asap as well.
By the time the JC took place the kid had 80 youtubes up...pretty obvious where he stood

Out here in country australia, one towns freemason lodge is nothing but a historical display in a museam, in my little town its few old men farmers who mostly are drunk a good portion of the time and dont even have a meeting place other than a comunity hall...
